We've been working on it for over a year and will soon release a demo featuring 15 levels (the final game, with 50 levels, will take another year to complete). As this is an indie project, we're seeking some visibility, which is why I'm sending you the description of our game.

Dive into a 2D roguelite dungeon-crawler with top-down views in glorious pixel art. Experience turn-based combat with arcade thrills, where weapons are extensions of your character with unique abilities. Each level is its own universe, endlessly reinventing itself for ever-changing challenges.

There you go, a pocket-sized guide to the most epic, unpredictable, and downright ridiculous journey you'll ever undertake: the quest for the Sacred Groowl in the Hyper-Dungeon of Parvamund!

WELCOME TO PARVAMUND: A land of perilous quests, mythical beasts, and treasures beyond imagination. Its crown jewel? The Hyper-Dungeon, a cursed and ever-changing labyrinth, feared by every adventurer yet filled with untold riches. Created 667 years ago, perhaps by a drunk alchemist or a malevolent entity called WOPR, the dungeon is a maddening realm where rooms and traps randomly regenerate. Forget maps, forget experience; here, each step could be your last.

THE RELIC: Buried in the dungeon's bowels is the Sacred Groowl, a legendary artifact once guarded by Orcs. Once paragons of elegance and culture, gifting the world with poetry, art, and music, the Orcs have now devolved into brutish warmongers, thanks to the WOPR's curse. Yet, the relic remains, waiting for a daring soul to claim it.

THE KING: Meet King Dandelion, Parvamund's ruler who's bored out of his wits. When bored, he's a warmongering menace. His Chancellor hatches a plan to keep him distracted: fetch the Sacred Groowl from the Hyper-Dungeon.

THE HEROES: Meet Hero and Heroine, cousins and quintessential adventurers. Hero is skillful but not exactly wise, and he's best guided by some benevolent Player through the perils of the Hyper-Dungeon. On his own, he wouldn't even manage to find the way out of the First Level. Heroine, his counterpart, is equally daring yet not so shrewd, and she too needs guidance! They are Parvamund's best (and perhaps only) hope.

THE LEGEND: Legend has it that only one human, Lando Lore aka the King of Tomb Raiders, has reached the dungeon's final level. While he never returned, his diary may hold clues to surviving the Hyper-Dungeon's unpredictable perils.

THE STAKES: Parvamund's fate is in the hands of our intrepid adventurers. If they succeed, King Dandelion stays entertained. If they fail or dally, Parvamund might just be another notch on the king's belt of calamities. Adventure awaits!


Gameplay:

The game is a 2D roguelite dungeon-crawler with a top-down perspective, rendered in glorious pixel art. One of the unique features of this game is the turn-based combat system combined with arcade action elements, where each weapon has its own unique abilities and characteristics. Another key feature is that each game level will always be different from previous ones and from previous gameplay sessions. The arrangement of rooms, their internal layouts, the positions of monsters, everything will always be different, including the key elements required to complete the level, which are generated with different variations.

To survive the level, full of traps and enemies, the player will need to demonstrate tactical thinking, attentiveness, and quick reactions.

The full version of the game will include 50 meticulously designed levels, complete with gameplay mechanics, storyline, and dialogues. The gameplay covers a broad range: there will be levels where you'll fight to survive and others where cunning is crucial for solving puzzles and progressing. There are levels with different biomes, brightly lit levels, and levels with reduced visibility, both small-scale and expansive levels. Some battles and puzzles can be avoided... but who knows what treasures you might miss out on by doing so?

In addition to the typical features of games of this type (character development, item collection, skill acquisition, etc.), we have incorporated a simple but effective crafting system, which could prove to be a useful tool for completing the game more easily. The game allows you to choose between three different combat styles, each with its unique characteristics and powers to unlock over time. Monsters in the game are numerous and exhibit different behaviors, making the combat engaging without being excessively difficult or frustrating; we firmly believe that a video game should be, above all, fun.

Despite the serious gameplay, the story and dialogues are imbued with an eccentric, bizarre, and humorous atmosphere that will accompany the player through all the levels. We've endeavored to include entertaining dialogues, filled with references to video games, nerd/geek and pop culture, and the typical dynamics of this genre of games. We hope players will appreciate this aspect!

Info about your studio:

We are four friends who have previously collaborated professionally and decided to design and develop this game in our spare time. Each of us is an expert in our respective field: I (Paolo) am the programmer, Alexandr is the artist, Luca is the writer, and Alessandro is the musician.
