Partytellers Studio has released a teaser-video for the Shooter RPG Fireplace:

Partytellers Studio is announcing their video game and a movie called Fireplace.
A group of friends and developers is making a first-person shooter, role-playing game/movie (FPS RPG) with rich story, in their free time.
The game is inspired by Bioshock Infinite and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, their favorite games of all time.

In Fireplace you take the role of a teenager whose neighbor gets murdered.
You then get involved in the mystery.
The story takes place in Caribbean, which in year 2146 is a genetic wonderland populated with many different nationalities.
Although a shooter, the game can be played peacefully without killing anyone.
Your choices will make meaningful impacts on characters and the world.
The central theme of Fireplace are the relationships we have with others and the world we live in.
Fireplace is a story about ordinary people caught in an extraordinary life.
More information.

Also: it was me or the "actual in-game footage" seems to be running at something like 10 fps?

Hi everybody, developers of Fireplace here.
This is just the first mystery teaser trailer so we understand people want answers right now :)

In a nutshell, Fireplace is a shooter RPG where you're a teenager whose neighbor gets murdered.
The case bares eerie resemblance to your father's murder which was never solved.
At this point you get involved.
The game takes coarse over a time period of 20 years - from 2146 to 2166.

The text-to-speech narrator's voice and its sudden cut-off half-way through are creepy, hahaha. Bold move to release this, especially with the poor framerate, but I can tell that you guys are having fun developing it. :)

Haha, yes we're having fun developing this. There's so much we haven't showed you guys so more is on the way. This won't be a dull game :-D

Sorry about the framerate and the voiceover - we spent all the money on software and graphics. Upcoming trailers will run smoothly as we plan to buy powerful development PCs in 2 months time.
