NieR: Automata - Sales Top 5.5 million

Gematsu reports that Nier: Automata has sales exceeding 5.5 million.

Total worldwide shipments and digital sales for NieR: Automata have exceeded 5.5 million units, Square Enix announced.

The game was last reported in December 2020 to have reached five million units.

Anyone played this?

I played the first few hours and didn't like it at all. It's not your typical Square Enix RPG.

It's very action-oriented, and combat feels like a bullet-hell shmup. It also constantly changes camera angles where you're in third-person one minute, then maybe an overhead view the next, and even side-view sometimes.

It's definitely aimed at a very specific crowd.

I've played it quite recently and actually enjoyed it very much so.
Story, sound, jap VO, gameplay is awesome.
Graphics and performance not so much, even with FAR fix.

I was really surprised by the game since I didn't expect too much from it. But in the end I've enjoyed it more than Cyberpunk2077 which I played in parallel with Nier:Automata.

This is a really good game, in the begining i was wondering why people like it so much, but after a few hours the game becomes fantastic, its not a conventional game, but one of the best games/Stories i played in a long time (and I am not a fan of Jrpg).
One of the few games i played until i got to know every ending.
