Seems that Fury X is just as good as GTX 980, but keep in mind that drivers are not optimized for it yet so it can only get a better performance in time. What will also help it for sure is upcoming DX12.

Now… Where are those huge pricedrops on a bit older GPUs?
Just to say, while a bit offtopic, AMD revealed Quantum and Fury lines where Quantum is not interesting at all, but Fury?
Based on some leak (take it with a grain of salt), Fury and upcoming later twice as good Fury 2x are supposed to eat Titan for breakfast:

So definetly stick to GTX 770 some more, don't upgrade it yet, even if these benchmarks are fabricated the price of other cards will soon drop.
