Why is it everytime square enix announces or releases anything for ios

they just call it the smartphone? I cant think of a more obtuse phrasing or any other company that does this and doesnt differentiate between mobile in general as a term or even different oeprwting systems -- android and ios -- or makes no mention of tablets or the iPad. Everytime you see or hear anything related to square enix and mobile they always ignorantly just refer to it as "smartphone."

I know. I never play games on my phone. I have a new 12.9 I just bought. Love gaming on it.
