I expect you'll have to get to point B before the portal to point B will open up - though maybe not, we'll have to wait and see.
I was a little put off by the business of going back to levels again, too, but that might not be bad if they change enough. Again, got to wait and see.
The feat advancement system sounds really fun, though! I can make up challenges for myself and actually get credit for them! I hope they can anticipate enough of them to make it work.
