I don't know if anyone here watch boxing or MMA but after this announcement I think McGregor is fucking genius! He stands to make around $80+ million even if he loses which he will since they are fighting by boxing rules.

I'm not sure it makes him a genius. Sounds more like the rest of the world is insane.

It will be a chance to get together with my friends and drink some mead and play poker. I will watch it for the circus it will become. If Mayweather was smart he would lose or get disqualified. Then it would be even more money for the rematch and part III.

I don't care what anyone says the press conferences are going to be hilarious. I have a feeling they are going to be racial on top of all the craziness with those two. For part 2 they should allow MMA rules. Now that would be fun.

The hype alone is worth whatever the PPV will cost.
I put 100 on Conor yesterday at 8 to 1.

It is 80 million for Conor plus a cut of the PPV. Which could be over 6 million buys @ I am guessing 70 to 90 per buy.

Edit, Heard it might be as high as 120.00US

It's a complete farce. Mayweather should be ashamed, but he obviously has no shame to begin with.

Yes, I can't say I like this guy's style, but I imagine it's hard to ignore this kind of retire-on-a-private-island money.

cheapest ticket to this fight is 2,322.00 US to 98,000.00 US

People live in a different world than me and I have a pretty good job.

The question is why is it harder to resist being reasonable than getting extra rich when you're already extremely rich.

But it's not about these people as individuals. It's about a diseased cultural norm.

Not only that, but if you decide to watch it on TV, you'll have to pay like $90 for it, even if one of them knocks the other out in 1 minute.
Many men joke about how women waste money on shoes and purses, while they don't mind paying for this shit.

McGregor is most definitely a genius. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. I wouldn't write him off inside 3 rounds.

The pressers will be more fun than the fight, too.

Socialism works the exact same way.
