Not my GOTY as I haven't played it yet to form any kind of opinion.
 
Other games in the running: Horizon: Forbidden West and FF7 ReWhateverTheSecondOneIs. On PC, anyway. Should be another awesome year on this side of the fence!
 
Without the controversy, it would be easy RPG of the year, if not global Game of the Year as there won't be very tough competition this year it seems. The controversy doesn't make the game worse as most of it was fabricated and overblown, but these awards are also a bit of a popularity contest, and DD2 has lost that race, fairly or not.

Regardless, it's still an amazing game that I personally can't wait to get more DLC/content for.
