So after nearly a year of delays it has finally been released. What we have here is a simple, no frills arcade racer that is very accessible (the controls are quite easy to get a hold of and crashes aren't fatal), in which you have a set objectives to accomplish in order to progress through the different levels of the "Driveclub" (kind of like Gran Turismo).
Sadly, while it is native 1080p, there isn't a lot of aliasing, and the game is in 30 FPS. It does however make up for it with its extremely impressive environments, much beyond what I have seen so far in a video game. It is truly a sigh to behold.
Other than that, there isn't much to say about it. I would say it's a bit generic, but it accomplishes what it set out to do, which is to provide a fun, accessible racer and showcase what the PS4 could do.
One thing that is disappointing however is that there is an option for a "season pass" of DLC... urgg. :/
