It's a new engine that can run MW assets. It doesn't change the game too much itself but it opens the door to many mods that would be impossible with the original engine like, I hope, new animations and character models.

Have you been keeping track of this one, fragonard? It looks pretty nice, not quite what we saw in Skywind, but pretty decent. It looks to be much farther along as well; even though they claim 0.33.0

Yes. it's actually playable although with a few bugs and some missing functionality. The appearance is due to using existing MW assets but when it's released, I expect the modding community to be all over it with some innovative improvements.

BTW: it also runs natively in Linux and OSX for those who care about such things.
