Rumor: Fallout 4 release date: 23. October 2015

If that's not a typo then it's one of the worst rumors I've even seen in relation to a release date.

There are working on it for several years and use an old engine - it is possible.

That "rumor" started when the Bethesda store had TBA 2015 for the game release date earlier this week and EB Games Australia sent marketing adds emails with Coming 2015 for the game.

I would bet real money on a release date this year. It's been seven years since the last FO, almost four years since Skyrim, and they are using the Creation engine again (apparently).
Why would they wait seven years between titles to announce FO4 now if they were planning on a 2016 release?
No, the announcement now makes perfect sense for a 2015 holiday release. That way they can build up, keep up and channel the hype over a relatively short timespan.

I won't change my avatar to a dwarf cock since I acknowledge the small chance of a delay to early 2016 for "polishing" (in reality the delay reason would be related to if/when Bethesda realize that FO4 would compete with too many games in Oct/Nov) but I would be extremely surprised if this gets announced for anytime later than Q1/2016.
I'd say it's like this: 90% chance = Oct/Nov 2015, 9% chance = Q1/2016, 1% chance = later.
