Seems there is no word on it on NMA site.
Quickly browsed through it, no dice.
And I forgot what nick I used there thousands of years ago, so I can't ask if they're aware of the shutdown nor use forum search option.

Would be a shame if NMA vanished, it is IMO one rare anthropological phenomenon that should be preserved.

Glad to see Civ Fanatics surviving, have been dropping in there on and off for over 10 years.

These sites never make any money and only exist out of the personal funds and dedication of their creator, so of course at some point they're not disposed to maintain it anymore and not one is willing to foot the bill.
