Are they using a new engine for ME3?

Those shots almost look *too* good. Makes me wonder if they were touched up a bit.

Yes, newer version of the Unreal engine. They also increased the textures resolutions. Just compare Liara's face from ME2 to Lotsb to see the difference it does.

Interesting, I didn't know that.

The quality of the pictures is why I called the thread pics/screenshots instead of just screenshots - they really do look significantly better than ME2.

They look the same geometry wise to me, they just added a lot of detail. Not sure how they will get away with that on the consoles, but I'm all for it. Hopefully we get some more open areas as well, ME2 was one long corridor.

Those screenshots look very nice, but i am sure they're taken from best possible angle for marketing purpose. I was in awe of ME2's screenshots before its releases but when actually playing it, the visual was just so-so.
