I think it's Calgary. It has this weird phenomenon where everything is lush green starting June 1st, then grass and everything else turns brown the moment Sept 1st arrives and turns into an apocalyptic wasteland.

Yes but it's like the brief couple days of cold weather you have in Houston, only opposite :biggrin:

When I lived in Vancouver, we almost never had snow, but the rain never stopped. Now in Calgary next to the Rockies, even though the snow is pretty much gone by May, we still might get a freak mountain blizzard in summer, or a bikini day in January.

Don't try to deny it, everyone. I'm sure the reason for it has the same roots as the owner/dog relationship, one of the fundamental principles of the human condition. I'm sure you've noticed it before …

Dogs always look like their owner.

My guess is that they are long-lost relatives who have found each other.

I'm sorry to say that, after consulting the mirror, i realize that I don't look very much like my avatar. I'm even more sorry to say that it would probably concidered a plus if I did.

Pibbur who thinks he looks prettier the more he hides his face, hence the long hair and beard. And the glasses (see post 708 in this thread, and add some grey to the hairy parts)

PS. I'm just slightly more than a month from turning 60. Yesteryesterday a youth got up and offered me his seat on the crowded tram I use going home from work. *sighs* DS.

PS2. The 708 post is from an earlier incarnation of me, when my alias was just pibbur, and my account name was lghartveit (which some interpreted as Ighartveit). DS2
