… quite a lot today through the Wiki page of "TVTropes".

And here are the ones I found interesting/curious/important (beware, the list is still quite big !) :

The "internet backdraft" (although I'd rather call it "internet backslash) : http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InternetBackdraft

Poor, innocent, hapless newbie wanders into a forum and wonders aloud if that guy in that show should be with that girl in that show. The forum erupts into flames, igniting all the boards that deal with the show, which ignites whole sections of the Internet into a blazing Inferno.

The poor, innocent, hapless newbie has opened the door, causing an Internet Backdraft.

"Difficulty by region" : http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DifficultyByRegion

Typically this occurred due to there being a belief in Japan that Americans preferred harder games; often US versions would have the lowest difficulty setting totally removed and / or an even harder bonus mode added. However, the inverse also occurred at times—some Japanese game developers felt that Americans (usually, but this could apply to PAL regions too) would not be able to handle a game's difficulty, so a North American release would be made significantly easier, or replaced entirely.
