What's up at the Codex?

Personally I cannot stand Codex. The constant negativity about anything and everything is just too much for me.
See, that's what I was writing about earlier. There are MANY games, old and new, which are liked by most of the codexers. The "constant negativity about anything and everything" bit is just plain false. Just read the MotB review or see the reactions to The Witcher.

It has earned its reputation.

Its negative "enough" that pretty much anytime I peruse the forums there its a bad experience. The one exception is AoD discussions. Anyway, thats just my opinion right? Others may think otherwise!

I always enjoyed the rational and intelligent from the Codex who have something to say and are passionate and oftentimes extremely funny--but the immature flamers, trolls and porn fetishists pretty much killed the site for me. I don't see those types finding a home at The Watch, though.

@dte--thanks for restoring my faith in the high intellectual level of our mods.:party2:

@magerette- what could be more highbrow than cartoon opera?

For our younger members, that's stolen from a Bugs Bunny cartoon, and is sung by Elmer Fudd to "Ride of the Valkyries".

I've spent the last hour looking for an audio or video clip, cuz you're absolutely right. No luck so far.

I don't know if they're still touring, but a few years ago my wife and I went to see Bugs on Broadway, live orchestra accompaniment of best-loved Loony Tunes. Naturally, "What's Opera, Doc?" was one of them. If it is and you get a chance to go see it, you might want to check it out. It was a kick!

Check your permissions. I have 'no scripts' running which I have to 'temporarily allow' for videos to run!!
