You're probably just afraid of being asked the question and finding you want to torture people more than anything else in the world!
Ah SirJames, I did LOL and ROFL and thy last comment ;-) I enjoyed Joe Abercrombie's books, in which the central character, Inquisitor Glokta, is, well, a torturer. I found myself chuckling guiltily at his little asides as he plied his trade…he is a man wracked by self-loathing etc etc. But he still redeemed himself somewhat and you can see why he ended up that way. The world is not black and white, and its good when stories/games/movies acknowledge this. With regards to the game, my usual 'role' is more of a goodie two shoes, but I would resort to a bit of iron maiden (not the group ;-) if I thought some demon-worshiping heretic was holding out on me - "Feel the kiss of the Maiden, you foul demon spawn!"
