Still a great game, although i enjoyed it more later cause when i played it for the first time it was depressing and i was still young.

Yeah, there aren't a lot of fantasy post-apoc settings for games. Off the top of my head, the only one I can think of is Dark Sun.

To me, it depends on what counts as a CRPG. It would probably be Pool of Radiance, back when it was all colored pixels and shapes.

Akalabeth on the Apple IIe was my first. Then came the Ultima series and Zork.

I think Heretic II was the first cRPG I played, but it was Oblivion that showed me what a RPG could be.

Heretic were fun games.

I'm not too strict on genres, but I wouldn't call it an RPG, though.

Curse of the Azure Bonds on the C64. The game still contains some of the best and most memorable encounters I've seen in a D&D game and indeed cRPG in general.
