Fallout, imho, was always a good game. It was good when it first came out (shame that it didn't end up being a GURPS game, would have loved to play that) and it was good when Bethesda started re-imaginging it. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but what game ever is? Today, I actually prefer the first-/third-person thing over the isometric stuff (which is why I still hope for another game like Divinity 2, since I never liked the other Divinity games - wrong perspective and all that).
