That was actually a remake of a tune by The Call done by Tim Cappello. He's the body builder sax player and he's done spots in other songs.The saxophone was definitely a staple instrument of the sixties, seventies, and eighties. If I remember correctly, I think the Lost Boys film had a song featuring heavy sax tones also. Plenty of artists/bands made great use of that instrument but nowadays it's pretty rare to see it utilized.
