I think the concept of playing a Native American is a cool one for a rpg, but I guess as someone said, historical games don't really sell, unless they are Assassin's Creed, lol.

There are a lot of rich themes involved in the Old West setting that could be mined in a full fledged rpg.

Well, This Land is My Land was initially promoted as partially story-driven. They talked about evolving world and survival and fight with settlers, but also mentioned story and quests. Unfortunatelly it seems they quickly dropped this idea and focused mostly on survival and simple missions. Failed potential.
