To Buff or Not To Buff that is the question

Do yuo enjoy buffing in RPG types of games?

I tend to try and be ready for any eventuality - have a standard set of buffs I always use (so I want a pre-buff macro please :) and for specfic combats that I have knowledge of, I will add a few more. It becomes necessary when every enemy is buffed to the gills too.

I must say though that 5E's concentration based limit appeals to me (after my initial outrage had passed ;)

I enjoy buffing if it feels meaningful, being able to swap out a piece of gear as I'll use a buff. Not so keen when it just becomes a constant samey ritual.

Buffing is one of the aspects in D&D based games I find annoying. I don't mind a buff or two but having to cast loads of spells to have a chance to win fights on high levels and difficulties, for instance in Pathfinder: Kingmaker, is annoying. I wish they added spell sequencers or ways to script the buff spells one wants to cast before big battles.
