Z-Alert is a zombie post-apocalyptic survival RPG, which has started on Kickstarter yesterday.

Cologne, Germany - August 2nd 2018 - Cedar Games, an independent development studio based in Cologne today launched a Kickstarter campaign for its post-apocalyptic survival RPG, Z-Alert. The campaign will run until September 6th 2018, and the studio is looking for 50 000 EUR to fund development costs.

Z-Alert is a highly customisable survival-sim role-playing title set a vibrantly illustrated world. Lost and alone in forest surrounding a city teeming with the living dead, players must use everything at their disposal in a fight for their life and chance to be reunited with their family.

"Development is well underway on Z-Alert" said John Nash, chief designer at Cedar Games, "It's an ambitious project and the team has set our sights high, which is why we are asking for help bringing our vision to life. With your support we're looking to create a fresh and colourful take on the survival sim genre."

A highly accessible experience, Z-Alert retains the depth and complexity associated with the role-playing and survival genres. To that end the game is built around the following four key tenets:

  • Customisation: An unparalleled level of customisation - tailor almost anything to suit your play style, from the mechanics of the game right through to the arrangement of interface.
  • Survival: Accessible yet rewarding survival mechanics - scavenge resources, craft essential items and manage your supplies across a vast rural, post-apocalyptic environment.
  • Simulation: Strategic shelter management lies at the core of Z-Alert. Build, develop and expand your home, maintain the wellbeing of its inhabitants, defend it from unwanted visitors and explore the deep forest around.
  • Role-Playing: In-depth player progression mechanics, skill systems, tactical combat, character interactions and an emotionally charged, environmentally-minded storyline will pull you into the world of Z-Alert.

Bummer, was hoping this was something first person open world. Instead it's cartoon graphics from the early 90's. Pass!

I would have been happier if they would have shown in-game graphics at the beginning. Instead they used a real actor wandering real Earth while making their pitch. Then at the end the trailer shows just really poor graphics. Not Cool, germies.

Definitely looks like a basic mobile game. Useless.

Everything but role playing. Going to be a fine product going by this site's standards.

We have product standards? Awesome, didn’t know that.

That would not be the first thing the moderation tells to ignore.

This site has obviously standards as they exclude what might be or not be a RPG.

For example, it was determined that the RPG the division was not a RPG. Looking to who emitted the standard could be informative.

Not on this site. It is not dealt as a RPG. People might have differing opinions but the standard opinion is it is not a RPG.
