Given the option in a single character game, which primary archetype do you prefer to play?
Spell-caster (e.g., Mage, Wizard, or Sorcerer)
Cleric (e.g., Healer, Cleric, or Druid)
Fighter (e.g., Warrior or Knight)
Rogue (e.g., Thief or Assassin)

A jack of all trades of course - A Bard or a Ranger :)

There was a time briefly when I was the lead poll suggestion author to which Myrthos then posted them. May 2015 - March 2016. Amazing it was that long ago. But it does feel like a lifetime as well, so it's about right I suppose.

Modern me might suggest the following:

Which service do you mostly use to play video games?

Steam
GoG
Microsoft Gamepass
Ubisoft Connect
Epic Game Store
Itch.io
Battle.net
Origin
Big Fish Games
Other

Steam would destroy all others, I feel. It might be more interesting as a ranked choice, seeing everyone's 2nd and 3rd place.

Which RPG you would like to see remastered?

What game length do you prefer for RPGs?

  • >10 hours
  • 10 to 30 hours
  • 30 hours to 50 hours
  • 50 hours to 100 hours
  • 100+ hours
Do you prefer playing a set protagonist or rolling your own character?

In party based RPGs, do you prefer premade companions or custom companions (mercenaries)?

  • Premade companion with full fledged story and dialogues
  • Premade companions with limited input (e.g. pawns from Dragon's Dogama or companions in Solasta)
  • Rolling custom companion (silent but with freedom to build them the way you want)
What difficulty do you play on?
  • Default
  • Lower than default
  • Higher than default
During character creation, do you make suboptimal choices for the sake of roleplaying?
  • Yes
  • No (Rollplay, baby!)
These are good classic suggestions.

The 1st one was kinda done here:

But had much shorter options.

I was thinking along similar lines as the 2nd one, so I'll just +1 that one. and the 3rd one, but I'd add more options to that as follows:

Storymode
Casual
Normal/Core
Hard
Hardest

For the 4th one I'd word it slightly differently and say something like, do you enjoy trying out suboptimal thematic builds?

I've been trying to think of a decent one about encumbrance systems.
I don't think this is it, but it's a start:

What of these encumbrance systems do you prefer?
Weight-based
Space-based
A combination of both
Unlimited/no encumbrance

If I may suggest, you could add an option like "Console", since they are also used play video games.

- Book series that should be made into an rpg/s (that hasn’t been)
- What TTRPGs would be great CRPGs (that haven’t been done)?
I like the ideas, especially the first one.

If I may do a suggestion, though, I think it's easier for whoever must create those polls if you list the alternatives people should choose from. I've seen a few other similar posts.

We often have an open choice like "Others (explain)", so members won't hesitate to add to the list, believe me. :)

I thought it'd be a good idea to know the preferences of the Watchers.

A similar question has been asked here, but it was long ago and it was only one choice. I think it would be more interesting to allow multiple selections to get a good idea of the interests.

In the same vein.

A poll on game genres has been posted here in 2021, but it wasn't multi-choices and was more general.

There are 2 main areas: genre, and settings/theme, as there were several areas in the previous poll above (gaming platform / news subject). I don't think it's possible to separate them, but I don't think it's necessary either.
