Sacred 2 - Preview @ HEXUS

There's a four page preview  with screenshots up at gaming site HEXUS, who give their impressions of a trip through the XBox360 and single player PC versions of Ascaron's action RPG, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, presently still in development:

 In Sacred 2 there are six character classes and you can assume the role of either the sexy Seraphim, the Shadow Warrior, the Inquisitor, the High Elf, the Dryad or Temple Guardian as you partake in quests and missions, monster slaying , dungeon crawling and looting your way across the magical world of Ancaria...The story of Sacred 2 takes place two millennia before the events of the original Sacred, in a time where the elves are in the midst of a civil war over the battle to control a mysterious power form called T-Energy...

...Each character in Sacred 2 has an exclusive set of mounts. First up, we saw the Seraphim’s sabre-toothed tiger, which animated extremely smoothly and had realistic looking fur (of the furry kind). I was told that we’ll be able to train these mounts and assign them skills which may come in extremely handy for fights later on in the game.

 The article states an expected release date for the PC game in the first quarter of 2008, with the XBox version planned for six weeks later as of now.
