Name that game!

I don't think this one has shown up yet. God, what a time-sink...
Warlords II! Oh my. It was one of three games left on my HD after the legendary HD controller failure back in... erm... no idea when. Anyway, the only (save)games left were Warlords II, Space Hulk and Arena (and I had just reached level 49 of 50 in Syndicate... *sigh*)

Yep-o. Warlords II. Speaking of TBS, this is the only game that's ever caused me to lose an actual day from my calendar, and is the reason why I'm still somewhat wary of strategy games. When I started, it was Friday; when I finished, it was Sunday. I remember going out to grab a hotdog from the hotdog stand once or twice, and going to the toilet, but that's about it.

Thought I'd post a couple of my earliest forays into the genre that I haven't seen here
yet. Here goes the first one:

Correct :)

Boy that took me back !

Not too obscure though. The one I really wanted to post was a black and white
ancient rpg/adventure named Final Battle (it really was a series of static images IIRC)
but I cant find any screens... Anyone remember that ?

That's because it is Die by the Sword. :)

I can't believe I actually finished that game... on cheats! Yeah, either I was inept at that time, or the game was *that* hard. I played without cheats to a certain point (can't remember exactly) and then I just gave up and used godmode for the rest of the game.

DBTS' beauty lies in its multiplayer. Try playing ogre on ogre, or two pigs against an ogre. Incredibly fun if real players are involved, especially if they can actually work the VSIM. Some of my fondest LAN memories with this game.

Good ol Die By the Sword, great fun. The guy muttering and cussing at everything the entire game was hilarious! Weird control scheme tho, i remember my hands aching after prlonged dbts sessions.

Btw JDR, youre wrong it wasnt Myth. It was Myth 2

Hmmm, I can see it but here it is in attachment form--another easy one I imagine. :)
