That's not unbreakable, not even close. Although they will be making a whole new version of battle.net that'll go live when Starcraft 2 ships and Diablo 3 will use this also.

Diablo II was released in 2000 to much fan-fare. The main highlight of Diablo II as it relates to Battle.net was that the game was completely client-server based.
See, that was the big change from Diablo to Diablo II, for me. I loved the original and thought it was a complete single-player action/RPG with an beautifully atmospheric setting.
It was Diablo II that morphed into an online game with a tacked-on solo aspect.
I'm pleased it seems a genuine continuation of Diablo rather than MMORPG.
I'm pretty sure there was/is a key gen for battle.net I had somebody using my key a 'Big Bob' is currently using this key message didn't please me all that much.
Keygens will still work if you want to play single player by yourself, but that is mad boring.
You need a legit classic and expansion CD key to be able to play multiplayer online.

Diablo 2:sen suosio taas näkynee myös myynti tilastoissa koska sen pelaaminen netissä on tehty mahdottomaksi (ainakin hyvin hankalaksi) ilman alkuperäistä key-koodia, siis battle.net:ssä.
A group of gamers reverse engineered the network protocol used by Battle.net and Blizzard games, and released a free (under the GNU GPL) Battle.net emulation package called bnetd. With bnetd, a gamer is not required to use the official Battle.net servers to play Blizzard games.
In February of 2002, lawyers retained by Blizzard threatened legal action under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act against the developers of bnetd. Blizzard games are designed to operate online exclusively with a set of Blizzard-controlled servers collectively known as "Battle.net". Battle.net servers include a CD key check as a means of preventing software piracy.
Despite offers from the bnetd developers to integrate Blizzard's CD key checking system into bnetd, Blizzard claims that the public availability of any such software package facilitates piracy, and moved to have the bnetd project shut down under provisions of the DMCA.[7] As this case is one of the first major test cases for the DMCA, the Electronic Frontier Foundation became involved, for a while negotiations were ongoing to resolve the case without a trial. The negotiations failed however, and Blizzard won the case on all counts: the defendants were ruled to have breached both StarCraft's End User License Agreement (EULA) and the Terms of Use of Battle.net.[8] This decision was appealed to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, which also ruled in favor of Blizzard/Vivendi on September 1, 2005.[9]
Looks like a Titan Quest clone to me.
It's actually the other way around.
What, really? Are you serious?
Of course. Diablo is the father of hack&slash action rpgs. Every other one is pretty much a clone of Diablo.
I guess that the "Guest"'s reply was meant to be ironically. Which you seemingly didn't catch.
D2 didn't have any of the atmosphere in the single-player game that made Diablo enjoyable. It felt like you were just playing a MMORPG in off-line mode.
I'd have to agree, from a graphics style perspective. Seems they went after the same, soft, rounded edges, light colors look. When I first saw the screenshot of the goatmen, I thought, "looks like they copy and pasted from Titan Quest's assets".Looks like a Titan Quest clone to me.
But I'd be interested to hear how Diablo 2 could possibly have been a step backwards in atmosphere. That just does not compute with me at all..
The single biggest complaint for most people, myself included, was the ridiculous manner in which all monsters (even bosses!) respawned everytime you loaded a saved game.
if you want a fun action game with tons of loot and skills, then Diablo is your game.
Who are these people? I've never heard that before.
I didn't play it for the immersion, I played it to make the uber character.
