Given the option in a single character game, which primary archetype do you prefer to play?
Spell-caster (e.g., Mage, Wizard, or Sorcerer)
Cleric (e.g., Healer, Cleric, or Druid)
Fighter (e.g., Warrior or Knight)
Rogue (e.g., Thief or Assassin)
Of course! "Jack of all trades" would be a great addition to that poll.A jack of all trades of course - A Bard or a Ranger
Steam would destroy all others, I feel. It might be more interesting as a ranked choice, seeing everyone's 2nd and 3rd place. There was a time briefly when I was the lead poll suggestion author to which Myrthos then posted them. May 2015 - March 2016. Amazing it was that long ago. But it does feel like a lifetime as well, so it's about right I suppose.
Modern me might suggest the following:
Which service do you mostly use to play video games?
Steam
GoG
Microsoft Gamepass
Ubisoft Connect
Epic Game Store
Itch.io
Battle.net
Origin
Big Fish Games
Other
And, uh-oh, where's the Paladin option?Of course! "Jack of all trades" would be a great addition to that poll.
I should probably have rephrased it "Which of these primary archetypes would you prefer to play".And, uh-oh, where's the Paladin option?
Surely first you'd have to answer the question of what is...
These are good classic suggestions.Which RPG you would like to see remastered?
What game length do you prefer for RPGs?
Do you prefer playing a set protagonist or rolling your own character?
- >10 hours
- 10 to 30 hours
- 30 hours to 50 hours
- 50 hours to 100 hours
- 100+ hours
In party based RPGs, do you prefer premade companions or custom companions (mercenaries)?
What difficulty do you play on?
- Premade companion with full fledged story and dialogues
- Premade companions with limited input (e.g. pawns from Dragon's Dogama or companions in Solasta)
- Rolling custom companion (silent but with freedom to build them the way you want)
During character creation, do you make suboptimal choices for the sake of roleplaying?
- Default
- Lower than default
- Higher than default
- Yes
- No (Rollplay, baby!)
True, but that's the case with most polls. You kinda know what will get the most votes, but it's interesting seeing the whole field.Steam would destroy all others, I feel. It might be more interesting as a ranked choice, seeing everyone's 2nd and 3rd place.
Pally is my classic choice. Rogue/assassin on second play through.I should probably have rephrased it "Which of these primary archetypes would you prefer to play".
I would class a paladin as being of the Fighter primary archetype.
If I may suggest, you could add an option like "Console", since they are also used play video games. There was a time briefly when I was the lead poll suggestion author to which Myrthos then posted them. What sort of options would you have there? The mind boggles. If you could play DnD with any people (living or dead) who would you play with?
I like the ideas, especially the first one.- Book series that should be made into an rpg/s (that hasn’t been)
- What TTRPGs would be great CRPGs (that haven’t been done)?
