XSEED GAMES CONFIRMS LAUNCH DATE FOR WINDOWS PC VERSION OF YS VI: THE ARK OF NAPISHTIM

Latest Ys Installment to Hit Digital Storefronts on April 28

Torrance, CA, (April 17, 2015) – XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that the Windows PC version of Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim will launch worldwide on April 28 via Steam, the Humble Store powered by Humble Bundle, and GOG.com, at a retail price of $19.99, €17.99, and £13.99. One of the longest-running roleplaying series to come out of Japan, Ys fans will soon be able to reunite with Adol Christin and his loyal companion Dogi in this latest continuation of their epic adventures filled with frenetic action, expansive quests and incredible music. To celebrate Adol’s return, the title will be sold at a 15% discount from its regular list price for the first week of its release.

Previously only available in North America on the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable systems, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim delivers a storyline rich with memorable characters and themes on top of engaging hack-and-slash action RPG gameplay that would later go on to influence other Ys titles, setting the foundation that series favorites Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Ys Origin were built upon. Originally the first 3D entry in Nihon Falcom’s acclaimed Ys series, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim is scheduled to launch with game-changing features exclusive to this PC release that aim to create a modernized gameplay experience more in line with these future titles. In addition to a brand new translation, high-resolution graphics, full USB controller support and true widescreen gameplay, this PC version also introduces the ability to warp among checkpoints, as well as an optional “Catastrophe Mode” in which healing items can’t be purchased or stored and are instead used automatically on pickup

"ability to warp among checkpoints" will save so much time in those kind of games.... Ys usually got really boring when you had to go back to an earlier area and run around for 20+ minutes....
