Prey - Impressions and Interview

Not surprised it's not selling well. Arkane just can't catch a break, it seems.

I'm hoping the positive reviews and word of mouth might help it, but it's obviously never going to be a smash. I guess that's it for System Shock games from Arkane - unless they wise up and go the crowdfunding route.
 
Honestly surprised it's not selling well.
So far every single job pretending to be a game aka trashmob grinder sold at least 3 million copies in the first week. Not sure why this one didn't. The reason might be Prey being a recycling sim, on the other hand ecology is a modern hot topic so it shouldn't be the reason.

Betsy usually has a good nose for marketing, but this is pretty damn dumb to let it out without marketing and no pre-reviews.

Isn't that conclusion a bit premature, based on this article alone? In their first week, the game is the second best selling game in the UK and that is without digital sales. The game hasn't even been available for an entire week.
