Drinking might not solve everything but it's worth a shot.

Ha. ;) You should change your title to "Pungazer", dte. Or perhaps, more subtly, Solegazer.

Nah, I can't take credit for it. There's a little mom-n-pop store on my way home from work that puts them on their sign every week or so. I just serve up the ones I like.

I've tried to reference this a few times, but never could remember the source nor the correct wording from when I first saw it as a kid. Did more than a few Google dives and never did find it. So imagine my tremendous pleasure when I was reading a Terry Pratchett book (Science of DiscWorld pt1) and there it was for all the world to see, with attribution even.

Harvard law of animal behavior
when stimulations are repeatedly applied under precisely controlled conditions the animal reacts as it damn well pleases

Reminds me of a couple sending a letter to a school to get their daughter out of math lessons because wrinkles would show up on the forehead of the daughter when she was doing her math homework - which, they argued, could hurt her career as a model.
This thing was in the local newspaper here, but had happened elsewhere. It's so long ago I don't even remember any details anymore.

Is that HHR's house?

If it were, wouldn't it have some kind of long-winded overbearingly self-righteous explanation underneath the sign? *wonders*
