Hmm, I don't know, does that still mean I'm a graphics whore? Or maybe just a graphics escort.

Sakichop we all have our own opinions, and like different games so that's fine with me.
Hmm, I love great graphics but I can also play the gold box games on dosbox or wizardry 1 with wire frame graphics.

Well, I really like dark souls, lords of the fallen and bloodborne, but also not for the graphics.
Well I don't like the Dark Soul games Brumbek, and its not because of graphics.
It's ok not to like them of course! However, I try to distinguish between my personal preferences and truly bad design. You may dislike the Souls games, but I say you would be very wrong to accuse them of bad design.
Or to put it on me, I strongly dislike RTS games, but it would be very wrong of me to accuse StarCraft II of bad design. We have our preferences, but it is good if we can see past them and recognize expertly crafted games even if we dislike them personally.
Well…naturally it is the gameplay that millions love about the Souls games. But better graphics does equal more immersion. That is my contention, one that is shared by many, many developers. People are too quick to forgive sloppy/lazy graphics, IMO. And have you tried Bloodborne? I'd argue it does in fact have AMAZING graphics, and that's coming from a 3D
Not that console games can't look good but after playing PC games at max setting in 4k I can't see me being wowed by a PS4 game , but I'll keep an open mind.
It's not because of bad design Brumbek their just not my type games due to various reasons. So you see I never called it a bad game. I just don't like the Soul games.
Let me put it in simpler terms, "I get no enjoyment from playing Dark Soul games".
As for bloodborne, I'm guilty as charged. My pre-order copy still sits on my desk because I'm swamped at work. I assumed ( and maybe wrongly) since its on console I won't be wowed by the graphics as I haven't been by any other console release. Yep. Bloodborne and The Last of Us Remastered are both works of art and technically very sound. Both give any PC game a run for their money visually and artistically...although Bloodborne's low FPS is obviously unfortunate. The Last of Us would be the most recent one that comes to mind. I haven't played Bloodborne yet, but I think it looks fantastic from what I've seen.
I thought that the new standard for console graphics is Order 1886.Anyway, Bloodborne has set a new standard IMO for PS4 RPG graphics.
