For some reason I get the feeling they may get one more chance (the next Mass Effect game that they're cooking up...)If BioWare releases another flop, Im afraid it will not survive much longer.
My belief or faith in BioWare died years ago. Also I don't ascribe to the theory that a delayed game is somehow always better in the end. That is a false fallacy at best.
Early Access is completely different. We all knew why it took as long.Baldur's Gate 3 ended up pretty good, thanks to the extra delay.
If you asked me 12 years ago my opinion would be vastly different. I was one of the very few who defended DA2 on this site. I ruffled the feathers of many old watchers.I fully understand you. I was there too, but with BioWare it's like BSG, every new game they make I'm thinking "maybe they actually did it this time?". You're being much more sensible and rational than me for sure.
We're not talking about Early Access or not. We're discussing whether additional time leads to a better game. And we didn't know it would take as long, no. The original plan was to release the game much sooner, but Larian decided it was worth delaying the game to add more reactivity. I think they mentioned that several times, including in the Panel from Hell just before the release.Early Access is completely different. We all knew why it took as long.
I dont think logic could make valid argument in this discussion ...We're not talking about Early Access or not. We're discussing whether additional time leads to a better game. Normally, more time to work on something leads to better quality, unless the organization of the project is bad (so it's not always true, for sure). It may not be good enough in some cases, but that doesn't mean the extra time didn't improve it.
People who recommend two-a-dime porn games in a RPG site "for their story value", and come about pretending they know what's good writing and why BG3 is not that engaging. Not bothering to interact with a lot of the rabble around sounds like the second time I've caught you being sensible and rational in just one day.Oh snap. You threw in your two cents. Feel better now?
Frankly I don't even know why I bother to engage anyone.
