I've been having all sorts of issues with my current keyboard, a Logitech G815. Seems I can never not have issues with it.
For a long time I've hated the rgb implementation. I typically do not use it, and only want it set to uniform light blue color.
But due to logitech's idea of having profiles per game, and having 2 separate pieces of software that control the lighting I constantly have issues where certain games startup and they override my uniform default color.
I've explicitly disabled apps' ability to control the lighting, and for a time that worked, until it either didn't, or other software don't take that disabling into account. So the last fix was to need to manual set each game's profile to be the same as the default one.
It's been an annoying pain in the ass.
For the past few weeks I've got another issues, where certain keys are not registering properly. The space bar being the most inconsistent, especially when I do not hit it dead-center. I guess due to its size and probably how the mechanics of it were done.
I've done some research, and couldn't really find one I was certain I'd want. So the best I could come up with was the Corsair K70 RGB Pro. I hope to not have the same issues managing the rgb. And I hope the keys are more sturdy. These are considerably taller. So I'll need to get accustomed to that. But it's really impressive how I cannot find a solid keyboard, ideally with no rpg (or just one universal color) that's solid enough. I was initially very happy with the logitech one, but their software management is atrocious.
